Tanya made a name for herself in the live events industry, founding and leading an Austin, Texas-based event production agency for 17 years. Her clients ranged from non-profit organizations, including the March of Dimes and KLRU Public Television, to brands including SONY, Bitly, Electronic Arts, and CBRE. For all of these clients, she designed and produced award-winning events that raised funds, built brand awareness, generated leads, and developed relationships and community. She enjoyed a reputation among her colleagues, competitors, and clients for her authenticity, transparency, and geeky obsession with English grammar and EXCEL spreadsheets. As Account Director at Fifth Influence, she works together with the account team to make sure we are always focused on client objectives, while also leveraging both her copywriting and analytical superpowers.
A highly respected leader in the events industry, Tanya was named to the International Live Events Association (ILEA) Austin “Hall of Fame” and served for 3 years on ILEA’s International Board of Governors. While she grew up in the Pittsburgh area, she is a dual citizen, and started her career working in press and public relations for the Croatian Embassy after graduating from Georgetown University. Tanya lived and worked in several central and eastern European countries, and is our resident linguist, formally having studied seven foreign languages (though, she always qualifies, she is really only fluent in two – guess which).
